Originally from West Yorkshire, now beginning a new chapter in life in Moreton in Marsh Gloucester, until recently I have maintained contact with my home county as Director of Embroidery to York Minster Broderers, overseeing the embroidery of new vestments and altar frontals.
My own work reflects an interest in archaeology and history. These influences are interpreted in hand and machine embroidery, using a selection of thread. fabric, wire, paper and paints. Pieces range from small intimate works to large hangings for public buildings.
Anglo Saxon artefacts abound in Lincolnshire and new work reflects the patterns found in these objects.
